With a very good performance by its Defence Sector, Düsseldorf-based Rheinmetall AG demonstrated strength within the crisis-ridden economic environment of fiscal 2008. Thanks to a healthy order situation and much improved profitability in the Defence sector, the Group was largely able to absorb its automotive business burdens.
